Round 3: Six Nations team of the week – France & Wales dominate

Round 1: Six Nations team of the week after the second weekend of action, which saw France, Ireland and Wales pick up wins.

Fullback: Liam Williams (Wales) – Sensational. A dangerous runner from deep but made effective contributions in defence too, not least in the air. Wales’s best back.

Winger: Keith Earls (Ireland) – Had to shift into midfield after Aki went off injured. Was still able to put in an industrious performance and came close to a stunning score.

Centre: Jonathan Davies (Wales) – The outside centre put a mark on the match with solid defence and several solid thrusts in attack.

Centre: Gael Fickou (France) –Back playing in his preferred position in misfield, Fickou linked up well with Bastareaud and used his large frame to get himself over the gainline.

Winger: Josh Adams (Wales) – The speedster had an excellent game, covering, running with ball in hand, chasing, looking for opportunities. He also had the confidence to rove off his wing. Did superbly to soar into night sky to claim possession for late try.
