From time to time, England rugby players have a tendency to play with fire when it comes to life off the pitch.
Whether it’s a boozy night out in town or just something stupid, some stars don’t do themselves any favours when it comes to abiding by the law.
Here’s a look at five of the most notable occasions when England rugby players broke the law…
#1. Manu Tuilagi - 2011
England's failed World Cup campaign in 2011 plunged into deeper shame after Tuilagi was held by police after jumping from a ferry into Auckland harbour.
The embarrassing incident came 24 hours after England were dumped out of the tournament following a series of poor displays on the pitch and a host of controversies off it.
Charges were dropped, but he'd still be fined £3,000 by the RFU.
#2. Danny Cipriani - 2018
Un August 2018, during a pre-season tour in Jersey, Cipriani was arrested after an incident at a nightclub in St Helier.
He was charged with common assault, larceny, assault on police, resisting arrest and being disorderly on licensed premises later that day.
#3. Mike Tindall - 2009
Tindall was banned from driving for three years. The court was told that on the evening before his arrest, Tindall had drunk three beers followed by seven glasses of champagne.
He later went to a restaurant where he drank a further beer and a vodka and Red Bull, finishing drinking at around midnight.
He had been driving alone to Twickenham, west London, to commentate on England's Six Nations game against Ireland, on the day of his arrest.
#4. Jeremy Guscott - 2000
It emerged. in 2000 that the 'Prince of Centres' was arrested by police after allegedly being found drunk and incapable.
Officers came across the 35-year-old one-time British Lions centre in Saw Close, in the centre of Bath.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman would only confirm that a 35-year-old man had been detained and released without charge.
#5. Danny Care - 2012
The Harlequins scrum-half was arrested for a drink-related offence for the third time in three months back in March 2012.
He was found urinating against a wall by British Transport Police, who arrested him for being drunk and disorderly before releasing him with a caution.
"I understand the link that will be made to previous offences but, as with my fine in December in Weybridge, the issue is more one of a small bladder than excessive drinking," Care told the Daily Mail. "I am working hard on and off the pitch to overcome any issues and while this is another small setback, I will continue to do this."
#6. Kyle Sinckler - 2017
During the 2017 tour to New Zealand, Sinckler apologised “for any inconvenience caused” after he was arrested in Auckland just hours after the British & Irish Lions’ third Test draw with New Zealand.
After being released without charge, the Lions tour manager, John Spencer, said that Sinckler had been reminded of his responsibilities, adding that “we are satisfied that he regrets this incident”
