5 players you'd forgot earned England call-ups – but played for other countries

The exciting centre represented England under-20 in the 2018 Six Nations Under 20s Championship, scoring tries against Wales and France. Redpath was selected in England's 34-man squad for their 2018 summer tour of South Africa but was unable to travel with the squad because of injury.

In January 2021, Redpath was selected in the Scotland 2021 Six Nations Championship squad and made his debut in the Calcutta Cup against England.

DID YOU KNOW? Bryan Redpath's nickname as a player was "Basil" and whilst at Sale his son was given the nickname "boom boom" as a result due to the association with the children’s television character Basil Brush.

The then Sale fullback, like Young, received his only call-up to the senior England squad for a three-day training camp in May 2016.

He later played for an England XV against Barbarians at Twickenham before following a move to Munster in 2018, Haley made his Ireland debut in the build-up to the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Born in Cardiff, Wales, Sheedy qualified for Ireland through his parents and England through residency; he has appeared for both Wales and Ireland age grade representative sides, and was named in June 2019 in an uncapped "England XV" side to face the Barbarians, though he was an unused substitute.

He was named in the senior Wales squad for the 2020 Autumn Nations Cup. On 13 November 2020, Sheedy made his international debut for Wales, coming off the bench in a 32-9 loss to Ireland.

Initially overlooked by the senior Scotland side, Graham received an England call up in December 2017, for the 34 man Six Nations training squad and was subsequently named in the English squad for the 2018 Six Nations Championship.

Graham had a change of heart in November 2018 and was called up to the Scotland squad, and made his debut on 2 February 2019 in the Six Nations against Italy. Scotland won 33-20.

Williams played for England under 20s in the 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championship, including starting the final where England beat Ireland. He then played for England in a non capped international 51-43 win against the Barbarians, scoring a try in June 2019.

Williams was named as a target of interest for incoming Wales coach Wayne Pivac,after it was confirmed that Williams is qualified to play internationally for the country through his father, who is from Rhyl.

On 6 October 2020 he was named in the senior Wales squad for the 2020 Autumn Nations Cup. Williams made his debut for Wales in the starting line up for the 18-0 win against Georgia before scoring a try in the 24-13 defeat against England a week later.
