5 Things to Know About British & Irish Lions star Chris Harris

Best known for his defensive aptitude, Harris has thrived under Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend and defence coach Steve Tandy in the last 18 months – both of whom will also be coaching him in South Africa.

Since making his Scotland debut in 2017, Harris has accumulated 28 caps and become a key figure in the heart of their midfield.  

Here are five things you should know about the Gloucester and Scotland centre.

Anybody who follows Harris on Instagram will be familiar with his cure Golden Retriever Koba.

He studied at Northumbria University, gaining a 2:1 BSc in Architectural Technology in 2013.

In June 2013, while still playing in National League One side Tyndeale, Harris scored a try for England Counties XV against Belgium. The centre is Scottish qualified through his Edinburgh born grandmother

Harris will be supported by his girlfriend Ruby Wilkinson. And she isn’t just a pretty face as she studied economics at the University of Edinburgh before becoming assistant manager at Deloitte
