Here are five things you might not know about 25-year-old speedster centre.

Despite coming through the Australian rugby system, the Kensington-born centre makes his debut against them this weekend. Prior to this first cap, he was eligible to play for the Wallabies after moving to the country with his family at the age of seven.

He made his rugby breakthrough with Sydney University alongside now fellow Tigers outside back Harry Potter, spending five seasons there and sharing in back-to-back Shute Shield winning seasons, including as captain in 2019.

He joined the Brumbies at the beginning of 2020, before the Super Rugby season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has previously represented the Sydney Stars and Sydney Rays in Australia’s National Rugby Championship, as well as the NSW Waratahs Under-20s.

Arriving at Leicester as a back-three players, Porter moved to the centre and impressed following an injury to Tigers teammate Dank Kelly.

Due to living in Australia from a young age, he actually speaks with an Australian accent.

Born in London, England, he started playing rugby for Rosslyn Park in south London. 

Weighing 100kg and standing 6ft 2in, he is two inches and 10g heavier than Joe Marchant, who started against the Wallabies last weekend.
