Bath's search for a top-class fly-half has seen them linked with up to a dozen different playmakers in recent months.
In what seems to be a never ending search, Bath have seen bids for the likes of Finn Russell, Gareth Anscombe, Sam Davies and Handre Pollard fail.
Springbok Johan Goosen has also been mentioned in dispatches as an option for the club but is currently on a lucrative deal at Montpellier.
Moves for Argentina fly-half Domingo Miotti and Ireland number 10 Johnny Sexton have also been reported in recent weeks.
According to , Stuart Hooper has now turned his attention to Springbok World Cup winner from Super Rugby side the Stormers.
