Beauden Barrett among SEVEN All Blacks stars tipped set to quit

According to Daily Mail Sport, New Zealand have the largest number of high-profile players with contracts due to expire after next year's tournament in Australia, with agents already testing the English market.

Players are beginning to prepare for the next four-year World Cup cycle, with the period immediately following the tournament traditionally opening the door for major moves overseas.

France and Japan have provided the most lucrative destinations in recent years, but increased investment in the English game could see PREM Rugby emerge as a serious option.

Bristol Bears director of rugby Pat Lam believes the competition is moving into a position where it can once again attract some of the world's biggest stars.

He told the Daily Mail: “PREM Rugby is in a good place now with the investment so I see a future where, like before, we can bring world-class players into the competition.

“We already have some of the best players in the world in our competition and now there’s talk about having a second marquee player and the salary cap coming up.”

Here are the All Blacks superstars reportedly being touted for moves after the World Cup.

Barrett would undoubtedly be one of the headline additions to PREM Rugby.

The 35-year-old is one of the most decorated players of his generation and has already enjoyed spells in Japan alongside his career in New Zealand.

He has played for the Blues since 2020 and could potentially look overseas again following the World Cup.

Barrett is also closing in on a major piece of All Blacks history. The playmaker currently has 144 Test caps and could surpass Sam Whitelock's New Zealand record of 153 appearances next year.

Jordan would arguably be one of the most valuable players on the list given where he is in his career.

The prolific outside back has established himself as one of the most dangerous finishers in international rugby and remains a key figure for the All Blacks.

He would still only be in his early 30s following the World Cup, potentially making him particularly attractive to English clubs searching for a marquee signing.

Mo'unga has already made one major overseas move, leaving the Crusaders for Japan following the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

The fly-half joined Toshiba Brave Lupus and has remained one of the biggest names playing outside New Zealand.

Another decision over his future could therefore follow the next World Cup, with English clubs reportedly among those being sounded out over potential blockbuster additions.

The Chiefs playmaker would bring enormous attacking quality to any PREM side.

McKenzie can operate at both fly-half and full-back and has become one of the most recognisable players in New Zealand rugby.

He has also previously spent time playing in Japan, meaning another overseas move would not be unfamiliar territory.

Taylor would provide a very different proposition to some of the superstar backs being touted.

The experienced hooker has been a major figure for the Crusaders and All Blacks and has accumulated huge experience at the highest level.

He has also previously spent a sabbatical in Japan with Toshiba Brave Lupus.

A move following the World Cup could provide the veteran with another overseas challenge during the latter stages of his career.

Barrett would be a huge addition to virtually any PREM pack.

The experienced forward has spent his Super Rugby career with the Crusaders and has developed into one of New Zealand's leading forwards.

Capable of playing at lock or blindside flanker, his versatility, physicality and leadership would make him an attractive proposition.

Savea would surely be among the most sought-after forwards in world rugby if he became available.

The back-row superstar has already experienced playing in Japan and has consistently established himself among the world's leading players.

He will be 33 during the 2027 Rugby World Cup, potentially leaving time for another significant overseas contract afterwards.

His carrying ability, breakdown threat and leadership would make him an obvious marquee target for PREM clubs.
