Ellie Kildunne has now returned home after being stranded in Dubai alongside England team-mate Sadia Kabeya during travel disruption in the Middle East.

The England pair had travelled together to the United Arab Emirates last week — before the conflict in the region escalated — but were unable to return to the UK as airspace across parts of the Middle East was restricted.
Kildunne later shared an update after making it safely back to England. The trip marked a return to Dubai for the full-back, who had also visited the city following England’s World Cup triumph in September.
The travel disruption meant Kildunne, 26, missed Harlequins’ Premiership Women’s Rugby clash with Saracens on Saturday, while flanker Kabeya was unavailable for Loughborough Lightning’s trip to Sale Sharks.
At the time, a joint statement from the RFU, Harlequins and Loughborough Lightning said: “Both players have registered their presence with the UK government to receive official updates and guidance.
“Both Ellie and Sadia are in contact with the RFU, PWR and their clubs and continue to be supported throughout this period. They will return to England as soon as it is possible to do so.”
Airspace across large parts of the Middle East had been heavily restricted, with flights completely or partially grounded over Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Syria, the UAE and Israel.
