The Leinster fly-half appeared to dramatically throw himself to the ground after minimal contact in an attempt to win a penalty — only for referee Hollie Davidson to completely ignore his appeals.

Rather than stopping play, Davidson simply looked at Prendergast before walking away, in a reaction that quickly went viral among supporters.

Fans on social media were quick to criticise the Ireland youngster for the incident.
