The British Olympic Association is currently investigating an alleged racist message reportedly sent by Amy Wilson-Hardy, a player on Team GB’s rugby sevens squad.

An image of what seems to be a WhatsApp message from the 32-year-old surfaced on Instagram, with the poster accusing her of racism.
Wilson-Hardy has an extensive rugby career, having played 15-a-side rugby for England and for clubs such as Bristol Bears, Wasps, and Ealing Trailfinders in Premiership Women's Rugby.
A spokesperson from the BOA stated, "The British Olympic Association has confirmed that Amy Wilson-Hardy has been withdrawn on medical grounds from the Paris 2024 rugby sevens placement matches and will be replaced by Tokyo 2020 Olympian Abi Burton."

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) is also closely monitoring the situation, and Wilson-Hardy could potentially face a ban.
Recently, the French Rugby Federation (FFR) established a precedent for handling racial incidents. Full-back Melvyn Jaminet was suspended for 34 weeks and fined 30,000 euros (£25,335) after posting a racist video on social media during France's summer tour of Argentina.
The FFR stated that Jaminet had "harmed the best interests of rugby."

Sam Warburton names his 2025 Lions XV, somehow includes three Welshmen

Writing in his Times column, Wales' Rugby World Cup co-captain Jac Morgan was the sole Welshman in his starting XV.
Warburton also surprised many by including Bath tighthead Archie Griffin on the bench, following the 22-year-old's impressive performances for Wales in Australia this summer.
He also selected Wales hooker Dewi Lake among his replacements.
Despite Wales' nine consecutive Test defeats, the former Lions captain remains confident in their potential to contribute strongly to the Lions next summer.
