England player ratings vs Fiji: Steve Borthwick's side continued their winning streak with a dominant display against the Pacific Islanders.

First Half:
England started slowly, allowing Fiji to take a 13-7 lead through tries from Tevita Ikanivere (11') and Caleb Muntz (22'), cancelling out Luke Cowan-Dickie’s early score (7'). Exeter Chiefs winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso (38') finished a slick move out wide to restore England’s advantage just before half-time.

Second Half:
Early in the second half, Ollie Lawrence (51') broke through a flowing move but was stopped short, leaving Ellis Genge (50') to power over from the ruck, celebrating his captaincy in style. Fiji responded immediately with Ikanivere (53') scoring his second try, cutting the deficit to three points.

Late Game:
England’s bench made the difference with tries from Jamie George (76'), Henry Arundell (70'), and Maro Itoje (75') sealing a commanding win. England showed patience and quality off the bench to close out a hard-fought match.

15. Marcus Smith – 7.5

Showed lots of urgency on the ball and grew into the game, having his biggest impact just 10 minutes from time when his smart grubber set the fresh legs of Henry Arundell free out wide, which was the least his performance deserved. Was potentially lucky not to receive a yellow card for Fiji’s second try.

14. Tommy Freeman – 6.5

Was mostly used as a focal point out wide and had a few grubber kicks to run onto, which were mostly overhit but well chased by the Saints winger, who was back in his natural position after a cameo at 13. As a result of his service, he didn’t have too much joy out wide. Not a bad performance but not great by his standards.

13. Ollie Lawrence – 7

Put in a lot of hard work both on and off the ball and was a good performer at 13. Impactful but not remarkable.

12. Fraser Dingwall – 6

Kept things ticking on the ball as he often does, but defensively was a bit off with a couple of missed tackles. Not his best performance.

11. Immanuel Feyi-Waboso – 7.5

Fans rose from their seats every time he touched the ball. He made some electric runs throughout, despite not receiving much service. Won a yellow card after taking a huge hit from Selestino Ravutaumada, somehow still managing to hold onto the ball. Finished his try well out wide just seconds later.

10. Fin Smith – 7.5

Showed good distribution for the first try, and his general kicking game was strong, with plenty of kicks out wide that were mostly on target, including a great kick to assist Feyi-Waboso. Contributed defensively more than usual. Converted very well out wide. Great step and offload to set Lawrence free in the build-up to the third try. Plenty of involvement and can be happy with his performance.

9. Alex Mitchell – 5.5

Showed plenty of urgency and delivered quick service, with some strong box kicking. However, he was easily stripped by Josua Tuisova and misjudged a pass out wide. His position could now be under threat, with Ben Spencer waiting in the wings.

1. Ellis Genge – 6.5

Failed to make a massive impact at scrum-time but didn’t lose the battle and made a couple of big hits. Celebrated his captaincy with a try from close range after 50 minutes but was relatively ineffective otherwise.

2. Luke Cowan-Dickie – 7

Powered over from close range for the first try of the game and was generally solid with his lineout throwing, with some tidy playmaking at times. Not bad at all.

3. Joe Heyes – 6.5

Had a few big carries but conceded a penalty for going too early. Came off after 53 minutes following a solid showing.

4. Alex Coles – 6

Forced Cowan-Dickie over for the first try with combined power too much to handle. Got faked a bit too easily in Fiji’s backfield after some good pressure. Did some hard work at the breakdown but with little reward throughout.

5. Ollie Chessum – 6.5

Good in the air from restarts and at times, but didn’t have much impact beyond that. Did the basics well.

6. Guy Pepper – 6

Not much opportunity to get involved at the breakdown, so his effectiveness was limited. Came off after 53 minutes following a rather underwhelming showing.

7. Ben Earl – 7

Earns a 7 for the number 7. Wasn’t seen much on the ball, with a needless knock-on during a potentially dangerous attack. Missed a tackle after a very impressive round-the-back Fijian offload, but worked hard as usual.

8. Chandler Cunningham-South – 7.5

Showed the clear benefit of playing a second-row option at No. 8, being used as a lineout jumper on multiple occasions and performing well when given the chance. Grew into the game with strong carries and relentless defensive work. Did very well despite England’s poor performance while he was on the pitch.
