England player ratings vs South Africa. RUCK marks every red rose player after their 23-12 defeat against the Springboks.
Scroll on down to see the England player ratings vs South Africa:
15 Elliot Daly: Still struggling to adapt to his new position. Hard to see why the Lions best winger from the 2017 summer tour isn't playing in that position. 6.5/10
14 Jonny May: He was England's best performer again. The finest, quickest wide man that Eddie Jones has available right now. 7.5/10
13 Henry Slade: "Is Henry Slade on the pitch?" was something I heard a fan say. Struggled to stamp his authority on the game and missed a few tackles. 5/10
12 Owen Farrell (c): Great tap tackle on De Allende. Arguably kicked too often and but should definitely have gone for three points rather than a try just before half-time. 7/10
11 Mike Brown: Great hands for both the first two tries but dropped two high balls. 7/10
10 George Ford: Brilliant in parts but those moments were to thin and far between once again. 6/10
9 Ben Youngs: The scrum-half was a liability and was too slow around the pitch. Far, far from his best. 5.5/10
8 Billy Vunipola: The number 8 was lost to injury just before the break. Clearly not fit and not at the races at times when he was on. 4/10
7 Tom Curry: A fantastic effort from the young man. 7/10
6 Brad Shields: A positive. He proved he was committed to the England cause with a solid first start in the white jersey. Should have scored in the second half though. 6/10
5 Maro Itoje: A shadow of his former self. Ineffective and very ill-displined. 5/10
4 Joe Launchbury: Needed to offer a little bit more when England were in possession. Good in the tackle though. 6/10
3 Kyle Sinckler:
The British Lions was far too anonymous. He'ss proven this Test series that he is more effective off the bench. 5.5/10
2 Jamie George: With an overthrow, knock-on, loose pass and missed tackle, this wasn’t one of the usually consistent Saracens hookers best performances. 5/10
1 Mako Vunipola: It's fair to say he had another disappointing performance. 5/10
