England U20s squad to play Scotland: Noah Caluori left out

England Under-20 Men’s head coach Andy Titterrell has named his matchday squad for Friday night’s Round 2 clash against Scotland in the 2026 Under-20 Men’s Six Nations Championship.

England travel to Hive Stadium in Edinburgh for the 19:15 kick-off on Friday 13 February, buoyed by a narrow 19–16 victory over Wales in their opening fixture in Northampton. The encounter will be broadcast live on BBC iPlayer.

The headline change from last week’s selection is the absence of Noah Caluori, a decision that may come as a surprise given the 19-year-old’s recent form. However, his omission is part of a pre-agreed rest week, reflecting the volume of matches he has played so far this season.

With a demanding schedule ahead, including the Junior World Cup this summer alongside club commitments, all parties agreed a period of rest was appropriate. Caluori is not injured and remains firmly in the England picture, having been named in the senior 36-man squad for the 2025 Autumn Nations Series and featuring for England A in the autumn.

Bath Rugby’s Connor Treacey captains the side for a second consecutive match, while Round 1 try scorers Sonny Tonga’uiha and Victor Worsnip are both handed their first starts of the campaign. Finn Keylock and Sam Winters will make their full international debuts, earning their first caps at fly-half and right wing respectively.

On the bench, Kealan Freeman-Price, Harry Wright, Freddie Ogden-Metherell and Asa Stewart-Harris are all poised to make their England Under-20 debuts should they be called upon.

“We found our spark in the second half against Wales and you could feel the belief shift across the squad after putting ourselves in a challenging position,” assistant coach Kevin Sorrell said.

“The players didn’t chase the game emotionally, they recognised what was needed to build momentum and convert into points. It was a big step in their development as a group.

“Going up to Scotland is always a test that demands a committed, concentrated performance. If we build on our fundamentals that allowed us to work our way back into the game, we’ll give ourselves an opportunity to keep pushing our high standards forward.”
