28 players have assembled at the Honda England Rugby Performance Centre at Pennyhill Park today, to begin preparations for the upcoming Guinness Six Nations Test match against Scotland on February 22nd. The 2025 Six Nations has entered it's first fallow week, with the England players set to train from today until Friday, before the Scotland Test week officially commences the following Monday.
England are riding a wave of momentum from last Saturday's win in the second round of the Six Nations. Steve Borthwick's side achieved a dramatic 26-25 win over France, to get off the mark in the competition. The epic conclusion saw England battle back from a 75th minute try from French wing Louis Bielle-Biarrey, as Elliot Daly crossed the whitewash before Fin Smith sealed the win with the conversion.
There are no new faces in the Pennyhill Park training camp just yet, despite the hopes that Exeter Chiefs wing Manny Feyi-Waboso, Harlequins back row Alex Dombrandt and Leicester Tigers scrum half Jack van Poortvleit are on their way back to the squad. The hard-hitting duo of Tom Curry and George Martin have been listed within the rehabilitation squad, yet the players are both expected to come back to full fitness by the Scotland match.
