England’s full 2027 Six Nations fixtures has been confirmed, with Steve Borthwick’s side handed a daunting start to the Championship.
The tournament will kick off on Friday, 5 February, when England travel to Dublin to face Ireland under the lights at the Aviva Stadium.

It hardly gets any easier from there.
England return to Allianz Stadium, Twickenham for their first home match just over a week later, with France arriving in London for a huge Valentine’s Day showdown on Sunday, 14 February.
That means Borthwick’s men will face Ireland away and France at home in their opening two matches – two fixtures which could have a major say in their title ambitions before the Championship has really got going.

ENGLAND HANDED NIGHTMARE START

England will be desperate for a response following a hugely disappointing 2026 Six Nations campaign.
Borthwick’s side managed just one victory, thrashing Wales 48-7 on the opening weekend before suffering four consecutive defeats.
Those included a 42-21 home defeat against Ireland and a dramatic 48-46 loss to France on the final weekend, while Italy also recorded their first-ever Test victory over England.
The 2027 schedule therefore offers an immediate opportunity for revenge – but also presents the very real possibility of another difficult start.
After facing Ireland and France, England host Italy at Twickenham on Saturday, 20 February.
They then have a weekend off before travelling to Cardiff to face Wales at the Principality Stadium on 6 March.

CALCUTTA CUP FINALE

England’s Championship will conclude with another blockbuster fixture as Scotland travel to Twickenham on Super Saturday.
The Calcutta Cup clash kicks off at 4.40pm on Saturday, 13 March, sandwiched between Italy against Wales and what could potentially be a title-deciding meeting between Ireland and France in Dublin.
England therefore have three home matches in 2027 – against France, Italy and Scotland – with their two away trips coming against Ireland and Wales.
With the 2027 Rugby World Cup following later that year, the Championship will also represent one of Borthwick’s final major opportunities to fine-tune his squad before the tournament in Australia.
