England's squad leaked ahead of Steve Borthwick announcement on Sunday

The England coach is expected to announce a preliminary squad of around 20 players on Sunday afternoon, comprising those from the six clubs not participating in the Premiership semi-finals.

Additional players will be added in the coming weeks, with the final squad set to be announced on June 10.

The Telegraph indicate that Jack van Poortvliet, who has recently recovered from a serious ankle injury, will be recalled. Other Leicester players confirmed to be in the squad include, Joe Heyes, Freddie Steward, Dan Cole and George Martin.

They've also confirmed that Gloucester number 8 Zach Mercer will also return after mending his relationship with Borthwick.

RUCK sources also suggest that veteran second-row Joe Launchbury will be recalled to the squad. He will be joined in the squad by his Quins teammates, Marcus Smith and Chandler Cunningham-South.

The inclusion of Fisilau and Tuima comes in response to the absences of Ellis Genge and Ollie Chessum, prompting Borthwick to evaluate his forward options before finalizing the training squad on Sunday.

Borthwick has closely monitored 20-year-old Fisilau, who started 14 Premiership matches and played a key role in the club’s advance to the quarter-finals of the Investec Champions Cup.

Pepper joined Newcastle Falcons’ senior academy in the summer of 2021, having come through the junior academy.

Born in Harrogate, Guy has been a regular in the England age-grade teams. The traditional openside flanker has been mentored by England legend Richard Hill and starred in the 2020 Academy Under-18s League campaign.

He made his first A-Team appearance against Sale Jets in April 2021, and is studying at Durham University.

Pepper enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2022-23, bursting onto the first-team scene after impressing on his debut away at Northampton in October 2022, starting the following weekend when the Falcons won at Gloucester.

Pepper scored three tries in seven games before a season-ending foot injury cut short his campaign, but his ability by that stage was plain to see. He's been fine form once again during the 2023/24 season and will join Bath this summer.

Oghre joined Bristol Bears in the summer of 2023 after making the switch from French Top 14 side Bordeaux-Begles.

The forward made 66 appearances for Wasps before joining Leicester Tigers and then Bordeaux-Begles on short-term deals.

He made his Premiership debut in 2018/19 off the bench against Saracens and soon made the step up to the Wasps’ first-team squad for the 2019/20 season. In January 2018 he was named in England Under 20s squad for the 2017/18 season.

Former Hartpury College student, Arthur Clark, signed a professional contract with Gloucester Rugby whilst in his final year of studies which saw him integrate into the Hartpury BUCS playing programme to further his development and progression into senior rugby.

After playing his junior rugby with Stow-on-the-Wold, Clark became an integral member of the Hartpury AASE team during his second year at College, earning him an England U18 call-up, and ultimately a place in the Gloucester Rugby Academy.

Excelling at England U20 level, the big second rower helped the side to a Grand Slam at the end of the 2020/21 season.

Under the tutelage of Adam Jones, Fin transitioned from tighthead to loosehead and is capable on both sides of the scrum. Baxter made his debut for England U20s during the 2021 U20 Six Nations and proved his leadership by captaining the age group.

Providing competition for Joe Marler, Baxter has gone on to cement himself as a regular fixture in the matchday 23 at The Stoop. The young Prop was also called into the England A squad in 2024 and started at loosehead against Portugal at Welford Road.

Northmore, who is comfortable at both inside and outside centre - and on the wing, started playing rugby at the age of 15 at Tavistock RFC.

He was a consistent performer for Cardiff Met for three years before following in the footsteps Alex Dombrandt, who joined Harlequins 12 months earlier.

He made his Harlequins debut against Saracens in 2019 and was a replacement in the Premiership Final against Exeter in June 2021.

Signed a long-term contract during the 2021/22 season and was recently called into the England Six Nations squad.
