Former England centre Luther Burrell has slammed Eddie Jones for running the international side like a dictatorship.
Responding to Jones' accusation that the English schools rugby 'system needs blowing up', Burrell has penned an emotive article.
"My view is that leadership does not have to be in your DNA. Some of the best leaders do have it built into them and possess it because they have been in persistently adverse times," wrote the former Northampton and Newcastle star in an article for the Mail Online.
"The game now is far more strategic and far less barbaric. Rugby in 2022 is about problem solving as you go,
"I’m not sure England have the players to do that. In my opinion, that’s because the environment created by Eddie isn’t right. It is a dictatorship.
"That is how I felt when I was part of Eddie’s set-up. I’m not sure what things are like now, but my experience is of a dictatorship where you are just told what to do.
"That sort of environment doesn’t allow the players within it to grow and make wrong decisions, which is crucial."

Four England players Eddie Jones subbed before halftime
Eddie Jones made the 'brutal decision' to sub off Danny Care before halftime as he looked to change up his team against the Wallabies.
This isn't the first time the Aussie has made such a call with Luther Burrell telling The Telegraph he 'was never the same player after being hooked off' after the 2016 tour of Australia.
Following Care being dragged off, Burrell tweeted: "Know this feeling all too well, hope my mate Danny Care is ok,"

The centre freely admits that he has not been the same since his humiliation against Australia in 2016, when George Ford replaced him 28 minutes into the first Test. England went onto win the series 3-0.

The back-rower suffered the same fate as Burrell during the 2016 tour of Australia.
#3. Nick Isiekwe (36 mins)
Back in 2018, the second-row was sacrificed before half-time as England surrendered a good early lead to wave after wave of South African pressure. Jones's subsequent selections revealed that the England head coach had misjudged Isiekwe's readiness for the international arena.

#4. Danny Care (36 mins)
The 35-year-old Harlequins scrum-half was replaced by Jack Van Poortvliet in the 37th minute at the Sydney Cricket Ground last month - ending his comeback tour in demoralising fashion.
Care had a kick charged down in the opening seconds of the third Test and that set the tone for an uncomfortable outing, as the veteran succumbed to handling errors and defensive lapses.
