The 23-year-old has been one of the revelations of the season. From a loan spell at Plymouth Albion to touching down against Bordeaux Bègles in the Investec Champions Cup, Brown-Bampoe’s meteoric rise has caught the eye across Europe.

“I am delighted to be re-signing at Chiefs,” said Brown-Bampoe. “It’s an environment that has allowed me to grow both my understanding and passion for the game.

“The Chiefs faithful have accepted me as one of their own and I am beyond excited to continue to grow and serve this club.”

Initially spotted playing for Durham University against the University of Exeter, the Croydon-born flyer arrived in Devon as a raw but exciting prospect ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Thrown into the deep end just five minutes into his Premiership debut against Leicester Tigers, Brown-Bampoe was forced into early action following an injury to Ben Hammersley — and never looked back.
Blessed with blistering pace, tackle-breaking strength and a goose step that’s become his trademark, he quickly became a fan favourite. His first try came in Round Four against Bristol Bears — and the floodgates opened.
By season’s end, Brown-Bampoe had racked up 21 tries across all competitions, finishing as the club’s top scorer and one of the Premiership’s most exciting finishers.
International recognition seems only a matter of time. The winger already has caps for England Counties U18, England Students, and England 7s, and has made no secret of his ambitions to wear the full England shirt.
Chiefs Director of Rugby Rob Baxter couldn’t be happier to keep Brown-Bampoe in the fold.

“It’s fantastic news that Paul has decided to extend his contract with us. He was clearly one of our key performers this season.

“He is a guy with huge potential and one of those players we fully expect to see pushing for international honours very shortly.

“As I’ve said to a lot of the guys re-signing, we will be trying to build a team involving them that will be challenging at the top end of the Premiership. That will obviously help them with their international ambitions.

“We see Paul being key to the ambitions we as a club have for the future, so this is a very important signing for us. It’s really good news for the type of squad we want to build going forward and the exciting players we want to have within the team.”

With his future secured and his star rising fast, expect to see a lot more of Paul Brown-Bampoe lighting up Sandy Park next season.
