Fiji winger Josaia Raisuqe, sacked by Top 14's Stade Francais after a drunken incident in July, has been handed a lifeline by second tiers, newly promoted Nevers, the club revealed on Monday.
Raisuqe was accused by a 35-year-old woman of sexual assault outside a Paris nightspot which sparked a brawl between the player and the woman's friends.
The player was fired by Stade Francais in mid-August.
Raisuqe, who was celebrating his 23rd birthday on the night of the incident, claimed he had little memory of the altercation due to how much alcohol he had consumed.
