Gallagher Premiership team of the week – Round 13

Fullback: Mike Brown (Harlequins) -England full-back Brown moved within two of club record try-scorer Ugo Monye after touching down against Worcester. However, his afternoon was not without its blemishes as he was sin-binned in the second half for failing to release Worcester's Josh Adams in the tackle.

Winger: Joe Cokanasiga (Bath Rugby) – The 21-year-old showed exactly why Eddie Jones rates him so highly. The powerhouse finished off a wonderful try and was impossible for the Falcons to stop throughout, making 85 metres from 13 carries. On the opposite wing, Semesa Rokoduguni also impressed.

Centre: Chris Harris (Newcastle Falcons) – The Scottish international never give up the cause, giving everything for the Falcons. In attack he wasn’t afraid to carry, making 10 carries, while in defence he worked hard with 11 tackles.

Winger: Ollie Thorley (Gloucester) – The speedster ran with power and speed at Kingsholm, making an incredible 136 metres and beating seven defenders from 15 carries. His efforts were rewarded with a try as the Cherry and Whites overcame the league leaders.

Fly-half: Billy Searle (Wasps) -The 22-year-old, who was preferred to 18-times capped All Black Lima Sopoaga to face the club he left last summer, enjoyed a sparkling opening 40 minutes at Ashton Gate. His interception two minutes before half time from just outside his own 22 and sprint to feed the supporting Nizaam Carr for Wasps' third try was one of many highlights as he pulled the strings against his former employers. Three minutes after the interval Searle broke free but Harry Randall covering tackle from behind saw right leg buckle and his ankle pushed out an horrific angle. Medics spent ten minutes stabilising the stricken star before he left to applause from all parties.

Scrum-half: Cobus Reinach (Northampton Saints) – The scrum-half has now scored 14 tries in all games this season and he is proving unstoppable in open play. Nobody can catch him if he’s given a few metres headstart; evident by his two tries, 80 metres from six carries and three defenders beaten against Sale. The scrum-half also contributed in defence, making six tackles. Danny Care and Dan Robson were also impressive for Harlequins and Wasps respectively.

Hooker: Tom Dunn (Bath Rugby) - In his 100th appearance for the Black, Blue and Whites the hooker made all his tackles and was aggressive in that department. Also reliable with his lineout throwing.

Lock: Will Rowlands (Wasps) - Making 74 metres in the second-row is a phenomenal effort. The 27-year-old was also a reliable option in the lineout and busy in defence, landing 13 tackles.

Lock: Chris Vui (Bristol Bears) -The second row, who turned 26 this week, had one of his best games for the club. No forward made more yards with the ball as he powered his way through the Wasps defence.

Flanker: Sean Lonsdale (Exeter Chiefs) – The 22-year-old flanker put in a huge defensive effort for Chiefs away at Gloucester, contributing a stunning 25 tackles.

Number 8: Nizaam Carr (Wasps) - Popular number 8 Carr scored a crucial try as Wasps edged Bristol 29-22. He also contributed in defence, making 15 tackles.
