RUCK scoured the archives for snapshots of the more unusual meetings between rugby-folk and fully-fledged showbizzers (also, some people who were momentarily famous in the 90s and are now retrospectively hilarious).
1. Jonah Lomu & Robin Williams
By the end of their first meeting actor Robin Williams was perched like a smiling child on top of All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu's broad shoulders.
It was the beginning of an unlikely friendship that lasted for life with Lomu penning an emotional tribute after the actor died in 2014.

Who knew James Bond was a rugby fan? Daniel Craig has been spotted in both the British & Irish Lions and England changing room on numerous occasions in recent years.
3. Chris Robshaw & Samuel L Jackson
The two first became friends after meeting at an event in London.
4. Carrie Fisher and the England rugby team
From Marvel to Star Wars, the England team couldn't resist getting a few snaps with the late great Princess Leia when appearing on the Jonathan Ross show.

5. Jason Momoa at the Sevens
Eponymous star of the Aquaman movie Jason Momoa was cheering on the Kiwis at the Vancouver leg of World Rugby's sevens series at BC Place Stadium.
Attired in an old-school, non-branded All Blacks jersey from a distant era, Momoa roared the New Zealand sevens side on from the stands, and then met them in their dressing-room.
