Wales international Aled Davies escaped a red card for his brutal head collision with George Ford that sparked yet another disciplinary debate in the game.
Former England international Andy Goode insisted he should have been sent off, but others agreed with the referee that Ford's late change of direction made the offence worthy of only a yellow card.
