"He's struggling.” – Ireland coach Simon Easterby reveals bleak James Lowe Injury Update.

Lowe was withdrawn early in Ireland's win in London, suffering a groin issue defending a loose pass near the Irish try line. He was replaced by Leinster teammate Tommy O'Brien, who went on to feature heavily in Ireland's trashing of England. Following this update, Lowe's status for next week's game against Wales is questionable.

"Yeah, he's [James Lowe] is struggling. I think he's due to see someone today, just a specalist. I would have thought they'll make a call over the next few days. But you can see when he tried to take off, he did something nasty. Lowe is pretty tough, I think the next couple a days we'll be reflecting on his involvement for the rest of the Six Nations." Easterby revealed to reporters.

"He [James Lowe] was getting up and down on the sideline when things were going well for us and he was part of the cheerleading group I think on the sideline."

Alongside the injury update on the winger, another breaking news story surrounding the Ireland camp broke ahead of today's press conference. The Irish Independent reported that Gallagher Premiership side Saracens are set to offer Ireland head coach Andy Farrell €1.2million a year following the World Cup.

"Yeah, we haven't." Easterby revealed, when questioned by the media on whether the coaching staff had approached any of the speculation surrounding Farrell being linked to Saracens. During last week's victory over England, the Ireland coaching staff were pictured in their coaching box celebrating the record victory wildly.

"You certainly don't expect someone to capture that, but I think it's reflective of the performance that so many of the players were putting in on the day. Things that we know are important and it got the Irish contingent in the crowd going as well." The Ireland defence coach explained the moment."

Going into Round 4 of the 2026 Six Nations, Wales appear to be at their most dangerous at the moment. During last week's game against Scotland, Steve Tandy's sideled 20-5 and 23-12 - to a Scotland side that only took the lead in the final six minutes of the game. Easterby was head coach of Ireland during the 2925 Six Nations, where Ireland were pushed to the limit in a 18-27 victory.

"I guess one result against England in Twickenham, it doesn't give us the right to sit back and reflect and enjoy that, because you know you've got another game coming up against Wales who perform really well against Scotland."

"So, I guess our philosophy has always been to be really diligent around the fundamentals in our game and make sure that we keep honing those skills and keep mastering those skills in training to allow us to keep performing and we'll need to get better again next week."

"It's a different game, it's a different team that we're playing against. They've got different skill set and they've got different threats to England. We need to make sure we stay on top of that."

After a heavy defeat against France, as well as suffering a close call against Italy the week before, many believed that Ireland's victory over England was a turning point for the country. Following last weekend's victory against Twickenham, the mood in the Ireland camp was at it's highest today with 4,999 fans travelling to the Aviva.

“These days are always important. I think the players enjoy them. The 20s, they set the tone on Friday night in Bath and I genuinely think that the group were motivated by that performance, them beating England. We saw today the way they trained against us was excellent. These days are really important."

"You don't get the chance to do this very often. When we do do it, I think the players genuinely enjoy it and they enjoy seeing some of the younger fans get an opportunity to meet the players. I think it's certainly a really nice day where fans and players get the chance to mix a little bit."
