One fan wrote: "My favourite player. What a consummate pro and superb player of both codes. Genuine superstar.

"An awesome player in both codes, as i'm a union fan i'm glad he came to our code, but the league fans have it right he is and always will be Billy Wizz, oh and a rugby legend in both codes," said a second.

A third added: "Just an amazing athlete to watch. Strong as an Ox, intelligent and tough. But when he sidestep feints and then lights the afterburners......wow. Just seriously quick and that try against Wales in the WC. Phew."

The competition for World Cup places at wing and full-back for England's back-three World Cup is going to be intense over the next 12 months.

Despite, their strength in depth, is an area of the England team that Eddie Jones will lose sleep over as he looks to put together a back-three he can rely on.

JASON ROBINSON'S BACK-THREE

Robinson scored 28 tries for England in his 51-cap career, with his most famous score coming against the Wallabies in their inaugural World Cup win in 2003.

Now working with Mastercard as an ambassador for Rugby World Cup, Robinson predicts a fight for a place on the wing between the returning Anthony Watson, Adam Radwan, Henry Arundell, Joe Cokanasiga, and Jack Nowell.

Based on his column's for the Daily Express and other interviews, this would be Robinson's starting World Cup back-three.

Fullback: Freddie Steward (Leicester Tigers)

Blessed with a 6'5", almost 17-stone frame that already looks at home in international rugby. There's little reason to believe anyone will budge one of the most prominent players in England's recent youthful revolution.

Winger: Anthony Watson (Leicester Tigers)

There's a large group of fresh-faced wingers knocking on Jones' door for a starting spot, but a fully fit Watson, who has joined Leicester Tigers ahead of next season, is still a force to be reckoned with after scoring 22 times in 51 England Tests.

"“England need to give him the ball as much as they can. Then it’ll be up to him to deliver and score. He adds so much excitement to the England backline," commented Robinson.

Winger: Adam Radwan

Having looked up to England's second top scorer of all-time Jonny May, it may be that Radwan has to fight for his former idol's spot on the left wing.

Robinson has said: "

Radwan has been compared in some quarters to me and he has got some great footwork. The one difference is he is probably quicker!”
