Tonga and Oyonnax wing Fetu'u Vainikolo has been handed a one-year suspended sentence by a French court following an altercation at a bar.
The 31-year-old, who has played for Connacht and Exeter Chiefs in the recent past, left his victim with a double fracture to the jaw in September.
Along with the suspended sentence, Vainikolo received a €4,000 fine.
