Edinburgh announced that Irish winger Michael Allen will depart the club at the end of the season to embark on a career in the financial sector.
The 26-year-old joined the Scottish club from Ulster in 2015 and went on to make 31 appearances for the Pro12 side.
Allen has made the decision to make a drastic career change and hang up his boots.
“The decision to pursue a new career away from rugby was an extremely hard one to make and one that took a lot of thought and deliberation,” Allen said in a statement released by the club this evening.
“As a family, we have fallen in love with Edinburgh and see the place as a home-from-home, so we’re delighted to continue living in the city and I look forward to supporting the boys in the seasons to come.”
