'It is a massive blow'- Steve Tandy Reacts to Injured Wales Captain Morgan

Wales are likely to be without him for the remainder of the autumn period, as Wales head coach, Tandy added: “It’s not looking good for Jac.

“It is a massive blow. He’s a world-class player, he’s huge for us, and we know how much he loves playing for Wales and how he leads the team.

“I’ve seen him in the changing rooms, he’s devastated. Ultimately, it’s just about Jac now recovering.

“Jac was outstanding, and the try he scored was unbelievable from that distance.

“It’s a blow.

“Not only just the player, but the man. With this group, we spoke about having tough moments in this journey.”

There’s almost a guarantee that by Monday afternoon, Tandy would’ve already called someone to fill Morgan's big shoes. Wales’ best player.

Big shoes to fill, but who’s capable of filling them? Leicester’s Tommy Reffell and uncapped flanker Harri Deaves are potential options for Tandy, as next week’s third meeting of the year against Japan.

“We’ll definitely call someone up and will discuss that after assessing things in the next 24 hours,” said Tandy.

“We’ve got some really good players. Tommy (Reffell) is an outstanding international, playing well for Leicester, while Harri Deaves has been unbelievable for the Ospreys for a consistent period. So we’ve got options.”

In some ways, Ben Thomas heading back to the Vale Resort on Sunday evening could count himself lucky that he wasn’t red-carded.

After an off-field review, it remained as a yellow card following kicking out at Pablo Matera, after the visitors' vice captain held Thomas’ leg on the floor.

“The footage you’re looking at, there’s not an angle that’s conclusive to what he’s looking at,” added Tandy on the Cardiff Rugby’s sin bin.

Scrum half Tomos Williams was also yellow-carded in the second half, but Tandy insisted he was pleased with the way his side responded on that occasion compared to Thomas’.

“It’s tough against any team (to be down to 14 men for 20 minutes)
