Bath Rugby make seven changes to last week’s starting XV, with the headline news being a first appearance in Blue, Black and White for Italy international Enoch Opoku-Gyamfi.
The 19-year-old lock, who will start in the tight five alongside Ross Molony, makes his club debut after a rapid rise on the international stage. Opoku-Gyamfi represented Italy at Under-19 level in 2024 before featuring prominently in the 2025 Six Nations Under 20s Championship and the World Rugby U20 Championship later that year.
His progress was rewarded with a senior Italy call-up for the Quilter Nations Series in October 2025, and he went on to earn his first cap in a 34–19 victory over Chile in November.
Born and raised in Veneto, Opoku-Gyamfi began his rugby journey at Rugby San Donà near Venice. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he and his family relocated across Europe before settling in Milton Keynes during his teenage years, where his development continued.
Elsewhere in the pack, Beno Obano and Tom Dunn retain their places in the front row and are joined by Vilikesa Sela at tighthead. Ted Hill and Guy Pepper are named on the flanks, with Alfie Barbeary returning to complete the starting forwards.
In the backs, Ben Spencer and Finn Russell continue their half-back partnership. Cameron Redpath comes in at inside centre, while Ollie Lawrence starts at 13 to mark his 50th appearance for Bath Rugby. There is also a welcome return from injury for Will Muir, who starts his first game of the season on the left wing. Henry Arundell switches to the right, with Santi Carreras selected at full-back.
The replacements bench features Scott Kirk, Kepu Tuipulotu and Thomas du Toit as the front-row cover, with Quinn Roux, Sam Underhill and Arthur Green providing forward reinforcements. Tom Carr-Smith and Louie Hennessey are named as the replacement backs, completing a 6–2 split.
