Joe Marler has hilariously called on ITV to give him a punditry role for the Six Nations after discovering that Eddie Jones will feature on their broadcast panel.
The former England head coach, now at the helm of Japan, is set to deliver his no-nonsense analysis on England and other teams during the tournament. Jones, who was sacked by the RFU in 2022, initially looked set for a TV role at last year’s Six Nations but instead took charge of Australia.
Following a turbulent 10-month stint with the Wallabies, Jones returned to Japan for a second spell with their national side but will step into the ITV studio for this year’s competition.
“Let me at him!” Marler eyes punditry clash with Jones
Marler, who hung up his boots in November, hasn’t been shy about criticising England’s ex-boss since his departure. The outspoken prop took to X (formerly Twitter) after hearing the news, posting:
“Please let me go toe-to-toe with the Beaver and [Sir Clive] Woodward on @ITVRugby coverage!!!”
