Julian Savea tweets statement after flipping his car

The former All Blacks wing flipped his car while driving after Toulon beat Perpignan in a French Top 14 match.

Savea's wife Fatima brought the accident to the world's attention by tweeting details of it and her relief he had not been injured. She also emphasised that Savea was simply tired and hadn't had any alcohol, saying he had been sober for eight months.

Savea, a prolific points scorer for the All Blacks, had finally broken his try-drought in their 26-16 weekend win.
