It seems to be very in fashion at the moment amongst rugby players and the trend is showing no signs of slowing.
1. Thomas Castaignede
One of the more recognisable French imports due to his bleached blonde hair, Thomas Castaignede became somewhat a ‘club legend’ during his seven year spell at Saracens.
2. Scott Quinnell
Gets onto this list for a moment of madness from the Lions No.8. Followed French outside-half Thomas Castaignede down the peroxide blond route and like the Saracens No.10 ditched it in double quick time.
3. Jack Nowell
4. Joe Marler
5. Will Greenwood
During an interview, I asked him why he dyed his hair blond earlier in his career. It seemed daft for someone so sharp.
"It was my birthday and I had 200 people coming to a mate's pub and I reasoned, 'I've always been a bit conservative so I'll dye my hair blond and see what they say'. Suddenly I found that everybody noticed me on the rugby field and thought, 'Shit, I'd better play better now'. I got straight back in the England side, scored a try against South Africa and have never looked back."
6. James O'Connor
7. Jerry Collins
8. Stuart Hogg
9. Chris Robshaw
10. D.T.H van der Merwe
