With the Rugby World Cup on the horizon, these five players were far from their best this weekend.
1. James O'Connor (Australia)
An Optus Stadium bright light blacked out in the Eden Park gloom. A colleague in the RUCK office quipped that he didn’t realise JOC had been playing until he got a touch in the second half. That says it all really.
2. Adam Hastings (Scotland)
Put Scotland on the board against France with a successful long penalty, but then got himself in the sin-bin late in the first half left. Some loose kicking after the interval didn't help as the Scots fell to a 32-3 defeat in Paris.
3. Joe Cokanasiga (England)
The wing struggled with some of the aerial balls that came his way, missing one that should have been his and spilling a contested ball in the first half. Overall, he was well marshalled by the Wales defence as they went top of the rankings following a 13-6 win in Cardiff.
4. Elliot Daly (England)
Please move him back to the centre or wing where he belongs; with Anthony Watson at full-back England might just be in business.
5. Dane Coles (New Zealand)
Idiotic foul play on Nic White, who he hit high and flung across the deck, was punished with a yellow card, and robbed the All Blacks of a penalty they'd been awarded on the Wallabies' line. Lineout throwing wasn't flash and had an early handling error.
