Here are five things you may not know about James Andrew Welbon Haskell...

He is a passionate supporter of LGBTQ. Haskell, who has a gay brother, marched through the heart of the capital with wife Chloe Madeley in 2019 in a skin-tight rainbow muscle vest and silver sparkly bum bag as well as sporting rainbow face paint.

His five yellow cards for England is more than any other player in history.

In 2003, James Haskell, then 18, filmed his friend Paul Doran-Jones, who was 17 at the time, having sex with his 17-year-old girlfriend by using a secret camera set up in a boys’ dormitory at Wellington College in Crowthorne. The boys then showed the video to their friends and were subsequently suspended from the Dukes Ride school.

Haskell later made light of the incident in a YouTube podcast in 2019 joking, 'All I am going to say is this. My idea, Paul was execution' and 'I was nothing to do with it apart from, obviously, it was my idea'

James Haskell has been in a relationship with TV presenter Chloe Madeley since 2014. The couple married in 2018. Chloe is the daughter of TV legends Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.

The pair don’t have any children yet, but Chloe has hinted that they’d both be ready to start a family. Speaking with Hello in early 2020, she said: ‘We’ve gone from one end of the spectrum, where we didn’t want children, to the other end where we thought, “yes, let’s try it”.’

After retiring from rugby, Haskell signed to mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA as part of its Heavyweight division. In February 2020, it was announced that Haskell would make his professional mixed martial arts debut on 16 May 2020 at Wembley’s SSE Arena. The event was ultimately postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
