The 24-year-old Ireland international bought the car on eBay a year ago and the last two months of lockdown in Belfast has given him the luxury of time to pull on his mechanic's overalls and explore the iconic 'first gen' Mustang.

Early in his career, Lomu was known for his extravagant car collection. His best-known vehicle was a Nissan Patrol with a $100,000 sound system. At various times, his collection included a HSV, an R34 Nissan GT-R, a Hummer, Lamborghini and a 1967 Camaro. It is understood most, if not all, of these cars were purchased on finance deals.

3. Simon Zebo - BMW I8

Simon Zebo, Irish rugby union player, is also a BMW brand ambassador, among his cars a X5 and an i8, the eco friendly sport car from the electric sub brand of BMW.

4. Andrea Lo Cicero - Maserati GranTurismo S

Italian Rugby Player, Lo Cicero is the owner of a Maserati GranTurismo S, and he claims it is a perfect car for daily drives. The 103-cap Italian Prop took part to the Mille Miglia Race driving his father's 1953 Maserati A6GCS.

5. Lawrence Dallaglio - Ford Capri

Former captain of England team and word cup winner Lawrence Dallaglio, used to drive a Ford Capri, the famous fastback coupé designed by the same man who worked on the Ford Mustang project, the Capri, shared the same components of the Ford Cortina Mk2 and was supposed to be the Mustang’s European equivalent. Dallaglio's Capri, was modified in the show Chop Shop : London Garage.
