Maro Itoje is unquestionably one of the best players in the world, but a series of carless accidents have seen him seriously injure opponents or teammates.
One player even had to retire following an off-field clash with the Saracens lock.
#1. Kyle Sinckler
A sickening, accidental collision with England teammate Itoje, as both men tackled Makazole Mapimpi, did for Sinckler and he was left sparked on the pitch during the 2019 Rugby World Cup final.
#2. Sam Jones
The flanker was forced to retire due to an ankle injury sustained while he was on international duty with England.
The injury occurred while partnering up with Maro Itoje in the judo exercise and Jones says he doesn’t blame the England star.
“Maro Itoje has texted me several times throughout the process. I don’t blame him at all.”
#3. Nick Schonert

Back in 2015, Schonert was playing for Worcester Warriors in their 48-18 loss to Saracens in London.
In a tweet, Schonert told Saracens flanker Maro Itoje to "check them studs mate".
But he later acknowledged that he incurred the injury accidentally, tweeting, "Was just unlucky, but I know it wasn't intentional. Was such a privilege to play at Twickenham".
