"Long term home" - Ospreys confirm plans to move out from Swansea.com Stadium

This marks a pivotal milestone in the Ospreys’ move out of the Swansea.com Stadium, which they shared with Championship football club Swansea City. St Helen’s, a ground steeped in heritage and history, will undergo phase one of the redevelopment, with plans to include a roof over the terrace, a new and repositioned 3G pitch, refurbishment of the existing clubhouse, a new fan zone, and the installation of new stands.

Among these new stands is a proposed permanent South Stand, which will feature three hospitality suites, state-of-the-art facilities, and what will undoubtedly be the ‘best seat in the house’. Construction of phase one is set to begin following the conclusion of Swansea Cricket Club’s 2025 season in September.

A statement explained that the plans are to be finalised in time for the 2026/27 United Rugby Championship season. In the meantime, the Ospreys will relocate to the Brewery Field in Bridgend, for the upcoming 2025/26 United Rugby Championship season.

Having reviewed the timelines, including those for the proposed new South Stand, we have decided that our intentions are best achieved by planning to have everything ready in time for the start of the 2026/27 season. This one-season relocation will allow all redevelopment work to be completed, ensuring the club and supporters return to a fully finished St Helen’s in time for the 2026/27 season.

To help oversee the development, our commercial team will be moving to St Helen’s this September. Confirmation of our plans means that the Ospreys have now put 2025/26 Season Memberships on sale. Work will be carried out at the Brewery Field to improve the experience for all supporters, including the installation of a new stand to provide additional seating, and improved provision for disabled supporters.
