Here are five major moves that could still play out before all is said and done and the 2019/20 season kicks off with a bang.

1. Schalk Burger to London Irish

The Exiles are reportedly monitoring the availability of the Springbok legend following his departure from Saracens this summer. The deal probably hinges on whether Sean O'Brien is able to recover from his career-saving hip surgery. Burger had planned on hanging up his boots but could, according to sources, potentially be tempted by a short-term deal

2. Malcolm Marx to Gloucester Rugby

World Rugby Player of the Year nominee and Springbok Malcolm Marx has been linked with a shock move to the Gallagher Premiership. Rugby Inside Line has reported that Gloucester is in the hunt for a hooker and Marx is their chief target. The 25-year-old, who plays for the Lions, is considered one of the best hookers in world rugby today with his ability to make turnovers a highlight of his game.

3. Sonny Bill Williams to Toronto Wolfpack

The billionaire behind the team – David Argyle – told Fox Sports at the time that: “We are working towards making Sonny Bill Williams a Wolfpack player for 2020. We would love to have him join the Wolfpack family and we will pay whatever it takes to make that happen,” said Argyle. It's a deal that might still get done.

4. Dom Barrow to Newcastle

The lock has had a turbulent last few years and is a free agent once again after being released by Northampton last season. There is talk he could return to former club Newcastle Falcons to bolster their second-row ranks. His experience would make him an excellent signing for Dean Richards side.
