Neil Back speaks a lot of sense about controversial Sergio Aguero incident

England legend Neil Back has spoken a lot of sense after Sergio Aguero was criticised for touching assistant referee Sian Massey-Ellis.

The Manchester City forward was pictured placing his hand on Massey-Ellis’ shoulder during the first half of Manchester City’s 1-0 defeat of Arsenal on Saturday.

Under rules introduced in 2016 players can be cautioned or sent off for touching match officials depending on the nature of the incident, but Aguero’s actions went unpunished.

The former England flanker, whose son Fin signed a professional contract with Nottingham Forest last October, shared his opinion on social media.

"In my opinion if the official were male some wouldn’t be making the same observations, they can’t have their cake and eat it," wrote Back.

IMO if the official were male some wouldn’t be making the same observations, they can’t have their cake and eat it. Also, credit to the official for not making a fuss about it but I believe Aguero should be reminded of his position & the huge influence he has down the tiers 🙏
