Gabriel Hamer-Webb scored five tries in a dominant performance as Leicester overpowered a poorly disciplined and outmatched Newcastle side in the Prem.
Newcastle were already under pressure, with Elliott Obatoyinbo in the sin bin when Jamie Blamire opened the scoring in the second minute.
Things worsened shortly after, as Leatherbarrow was sent off with a 20-minute red card for a reckless challenge, leaving the visitors down to 13 players.
The red card was issued for dangerous play in a ruck or maul, in breach of World Rugby Law 9.20(e), during the match on Saturday, 18 April.
Leatherbarrow admitted the offence and subsequently received a three-game ban.
