RUCK.co.uk brings you the key statistics from over the first round of the 2017 RBS Six Nations.

Gray brothers tackling their way to New Zealand

Scotland's Jonny Gray put in another sensational display on Saturday, making a stunning 27 tackles.

Italy's Maxime Mbanda (26) came in second with Scotsmen Richie Gray (23), Hamish Watson (19) and Ross Ford (19) completing the top five.

CJ Carrying for fun

Ireland flanker CJ Stander topped the carrying table with 24 against Scotland on Saturday.

Teammates Jamie Heaslip (21) and Robbie Henshaw (19) came in second and third respectively but couldn't stop Joe Schmidt's men falling to a 27-22 defeat at Murrayfield.

French pair Virimi Vakatawa (18) and Louis Picamoles (16) finish the list, meaning all five top carriers suffered defeat in round 1.

Maro the king of the lineout

Despite starting in the back-row, England powerhouse Maro Itoje won the most lineouts in round one, winning eight (including steals) in England's narrow win against France.

Richie Gray, Devin Toner and Justin Tipuric came joint second with six lineout victories.

Turnovers

CJ Stander, Owen Farrell, John Barclay and Maro Itoje finished the round joint top with two turnovers.

King Louis Picamoles reigns at Twickenham

France No.8 Louis Picamoles proved to be an unstoppable force for England, making a round best 131 metres, beating a joint best 7 defenders.

The powerhouse also made the most offloads (4), two ahead of second- place Finn Russell,

Ireland's Rob Kearney also beat seven defenders with teammate Henshaw just behind with six.
