Springbok RG Snyman out for remainder of the season with ACL injury

Andrew Porter came through Friday night’s win over Scarlets without any issues and is available for selection.

Meanwhile, James Ryan, Tadhg Furlong, Jimmy O’Brien and Garry Ringrose will continue to be assessed, with final decisions on their availability expected later in the week.

RG Snyman has been ruled out for the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL during the defeat to Glasgow Warriors.

There are no new updates regarding Jack Boyle, Hugh Cooney, Jordan Larmour, James Lowe, Diarmuid Mangan or Paddy McCarthy.

The 31-year-old Snyman was forced off after 50 minutes with a right knee injury in Leinster’s 38–17 loss to Glasgow and subsequently missed the recent United Rugby Championship win over Scarlets.

The severity of the ACL injury means the lock will miss not only the remainder of Leinster’s campaign, but also Springboks fixtures in July’s Nations Championship and the upcoming Rugby Championship, including when they face England at Ellis Park in July.

With ACL rehabilitation typically taking between nine and twelve months or more, the World Cup winner now faces a race against time to return to action at some point in 2026.

This marks the third ACL rupture of his career, although his previous two injuries affected his left knee.
