South African back-row James Venter will join Gloucester from the Sharks ahead of next season.

The 28-year-old started his career with the Lions in Johannesburg before moving to the Durban-based Sharks in 2020, where he has made 46 appearances.
"I'm excited to be joining Gloucester Rugby next season. The club's vision for the future really impressed me, and I'm looking forward to being part of it," Venter told Gloucester's website.
"I've heard incredible things about Kingsholm and the passionate support from the fans. That was a big factor in my decision to move to England, and I can't wait to experience it firsthand."
Gloucester currently sit third in the Premiership table, level on points with fourth-placed Leicester Tigers. They resume their campaign against league leaders Bath on Saturday, 22 March, following the conclusion of the Six Nations.
