England head coach Steve Borthwick has named a 36-player squad for a three-day September training camp ahead of the return of the Nations Championship.
The squad will assemble at England’s Performance Centre at Pennyhill Park, with Borthwick stepping up preparations for a huge November programme.
England welcome Australia to Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on 8 November before taking on Japan and New Zealand ahead of the Nations Championship finals weekend.
There are plenty of established names in Borthwick's latest group, including captain Maro Itoje, Tom Curry, Ben Earl, Marcus Smith, George Ford and Henry Slade.
However, Ollie Lawrence and Henry Arundell are among the eye-catching names missing, while several other England internationals are absent because of injury, rehabilitation or player management.
Borthwick names 36-player group
Borthwick has selected 20 forwards and 16 backs for the short training camp.
Up front, Fin Baxter, Luke Cowan-Dickie, Chandler Cunningham-South and Henry Pollock are included alongside experienced internationals Itoje, Curry and Earl.
George Martin is back in the England environment, while highly-rated Bath youngster Kepueli Tuipulotu is another intriguing inclusion.
There are also opportunities for Arthur Clark, Greg Fisilau, Emmanuel Iyogun, George Kloska and Guy Pepper.
Among the backs, Benhard Janse van Rensburg is included as he continues to push his case for an England opportunity.
Seb Atkinson is another midfield option alongside Henry Slade, while Borthwick has selected all three of George Ford, Fin Smith and Marcus Smith.
Archie McParland is included at scrum-half alongside Harry Randall and Jack van Poortvliet.
Nations Championship campaign
England currently sit third in the northern hemisphere Nations Championship table after their opening three fixtures.
Borthwick's side began their campaign with defeat against South Africa before responding with a convincing 11-try victory over Fiji.
They then made it back-to-back victories with a hard-fought win against Argentina.
Attention now turns towards the November programme, beginning with Australia at Twickenham before meetings with Japan and New Zealand.

Big names absent from Borthwick's squad
A number of established internationals and players who have recently been around the England setup are not included in the 36-player training group.
However, several of the absences have explanations beyond selection, with injuries, rehabilitation and player management affecting Borthwick's options.
Ollie Lawrence
One of the most eye-catching omissions is Ollie Lawrence.
The Bath centre has been an important part of England's midfield under Borthwick but is not included in the September training group.
His absence comes with competition for midfield places increasing, with Seb Atkinson and Benhard Janse van Rensburg both included alongside the experienced Henry Slade.
Henry Arundell
Lawrence's Bath teammate Henry Arundell is another major name missing from the 36.
The explosive back-three player has demonstrated his try-scoring ability at Test level but isn't involved in this particular camp.
Borthwick has instead selected a group of outside backs including Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, Tommy Freeman, Cadan Murley and Tobias Elliott.
Ellis Genge
Ellis Genge is also absent from the 36-player group, although his absence should not be viewed as the experienced prop being dropped.
The Bristol Bears loosehead remains one of England's senior forwards and was involved during the summer Nations Championship campaign.
Genge is currently being managed as he builds towards the new domestic season and therefore isn't involved in the short September gathering.
Alex Mitchell
Northampton Saints scrum-half Alex Mitchell is another significant name missing.
Mitchell is continuing his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury and is therefore unavailable for the camp.
In his absence, Borthwick has selected Harry Randall, Archie McParland and Jack van Poortvliet as his three scrum-half options.
Tom Roebuck
Sale Sharks winger Tom Roebuck is not included among Borthwick's 36 players either.
However, his absence should not be considered a selection decision, with club commitments around the camp preventing him from completing England's full training programme.
Ben Spencer
Bath captain Ben Spencer remains unavailable following shoulder surgery during the summer.
The experienced scrum-half is continuing his rehabilitation with Bath and is another player whose absence is injury-related.
Max Ojomoh
Bath centre Max Ojomoh is another player unavailable for the camp.
Ojomoh is currently dealing with a minor calf problem, keeping him out of Borthwick's group on this occasion.
Noah Caluori
Exciting Saracens youngster Noah Caluori is also missing because of injury.
The highly-rated back is currently sidelined with a wrist problem after forcing his way into the wider senior England conversation.
George and Chessum continue rehabilitation
Jamie George and Ollie Chessum are not included among the 36 players taking part in full training, but both will still be present at Pennyhill Park.
The pair will attend the camp to continue their rehabilitation, keeping them within the England environment as preparations for November gather pace.
With almost two months remaining before England face Australia, Borthwick's September group is by no means a final indication of the squad that will contest the remaining Nations Championship fixtures.
