Super Rugby Women - Team news for Round 3 - Drua and Brumbies chase down the champions

After back-to-back wins to start off their campaign, it's now time for the NSW Waratahs to take a week out as the Sydney based side watch on with a bye week. This opens up the playing field for the chasing pack, with Fijiana Drua taking on the Brumbies in Ba, with the two sides level on four points each.

Then the action heads to Western Australia, as the Force host Queensland Reds in Wanneroo with both sides searching for their first win of the 2026 season. Western Force and the Reds both have just one point to their names thus far, with hard-fought losing efforts getting them off the mark. So, with the defending champions out of the fold this week, it's time for either the Drua or Brumbies to close down on the Waratahs. The Fijiana Drua have made a host of changes as they look to make it back-to-back wins after last week's victory over the Western Force.

Captain Kolora Lomani shifts to scrum-half after Bitila Tawake drops to the bench, allowing Keleni Marawa to start at hooker. Merewairita Neivosa and Atelaite Buna come into the backline following the absences of Ivamere Rokowti (concussion) and Vika Nakacia (leg), while Karavaki Lutumaibau, Salaseini Railumu and Sulita Waisega all make their first starts of the campaign. Verenaisi Ditavutu could make her debut from the bench.

The Brumbies have been forced into a key change with Faitala Moleka sidelined by an eye contusion. Ella Ryan returns at fly-half, while teenage talent Georgie Hayes is handed her first start at fullback. Makenna Ravouvou joins the replacements, with Savannah Roberts-Hickling in line to make her debut.

The Western Force receive a major boost with the return of fly-half Grace Freeman, who is back in the matchday squad for the first time in more than 450 days following a foot injury.

While Freeman starts among the replacements, the Force have also made changes to their starting XV. Adi Vani Buleki replaces the injured Ella Pietsch on the wing, while Yuna Sato comes into the second row. Co-captains Samantha Wood and Trilleen Pomare again lead a side looking to bounce back from defeat to the Drua.

Queensland have overhauled their tight five, bringing experienced internationals Bree-Anna Browne and Tanya Kalounivale into the front row alongside Zophronia Setu. Lucy Thorpe and Vineta Teutau complete the new-look engine room, while Briana Dascombe is promoted to the wing. Hayley Glass could make her debut from the bench, with Eva Karpani, Deni Ross and Dillyn Blackburn adding further international experience among the replacements.
