These three have shown enough ability or promise to suggest they may be future England stars in waiting.
Foreign-born stars, such as Sam Underhill and the Vunipola brothers, have already shown how integral they can be for the Red Rose after making the step up to International rugby.
Here are three players who could pull on the white jersey in the future:

#1. Ruan Ackermann

  • Age: 25
  • Club: Gloucester
  • Position: Back-row
  • Place of birth: Pretoria, South Africa
His Dad Johan Ackermann, who departed as Gloucester boss for Japan last August, confirmed that his son will be staying with the Cherry & Whites to pursue international honours with the men in white.
The imposing back-rower, who has already been in contact with Eddie Jones, qualified for England on residency grounds in August 2020.

#2. Jono Ross

  • Age: 30
  • Club: Sale Sharks
  • Position: Back-row
  • Place of birth: Sandton, South Africa
The back-rower has been one of the most consistent performers in the Gallagher Premiership for the last few years.
He's been linked with an England call-up for a while now and is eligible due to his grandmother's heritage.

#3. Ratu Naulago

  • Age: 30
  • Club: Bristol Bears
  • Position: Winger
  • Place of birth: Fiji
The Fijian, who is on an extended leave from the Yorkshire Regiment, joined the Bears on a two-year contract last summer and is England qualified.
Naulago, who played Sevens for Bath and Saracens before joining Super League Hull FC, has scored seven tries for the Bears so far to get onto Jones’ radar with The Rugby Paper suggesting he's set for a call-up.
