Wales are primed and ready for their opening match of the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup, as they prepare to take on Scotland tomorrow afternoon in the Salford Community Stadium.
Wales wing Lisa Neumann is set to win her 50th cap for her country, as she kicks off the tournament with a solid career milestone. Neumann coincidentally made her debut against Scotland in 2018, and the flyer was one of the original 12 Welsh players to be offered professional contracts from the WRU back in 2022.
Much like Scotland's Rachel Malcolm, Wales find their leadership team in the back row. Blindside flanker Kate Williams and number eight Alex Callender will co-captain Sean Llynn's side for their opening round fixture in Manchester. The home of the Sale Sharks is set to host this battle, with some real bite expected between the Six Nations rivals.
