Starting in a new position, number eight, Mathieu Bastareaud won his first Major League Rugby game against Austin Gilgronis.
The former France international, announced at 130 kg during the broadcast on ESPN, got floored early in the match and then scored his first try in the heart of a maul, before being replaced in the 49th minute.
The hit on him was HUGE.
