props in world rugby right now based on current form, before letting you vote for who you want to be in our World XV

1. Tadhg Furlong - Ireland

One of the finds of the last 12 months, the Leinster and Ireland tight-head dropped anchor at the set-piece and was also a muscular presence in the loose, particularly in the epic final Test in Auckland. The best tight-head in the game?

2. Owen Franks - New Zealand

The All Blacks tighthead has been a key player for a number of years now, winning 94 caps since making his debut in 2009, and will feature heavily once again during the Rugby Championship. In 2015 he became one of only twenty dual Rugby Union World Cup winners.

Franks combines a powerful scrummaging ability with the hands and brains every All Black possesses as ingrained basics.

3. Ramiro Herrera - Argentina

Ramiro Herrera established himself as one of the world's most destructive scrummagers at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

The 26-year-old is also a powerful ball-carrier and a major weapon for the Pumas and has made a major impact for the Argentine Super Rugby side in 2017.

4. Dan Cole - England

One of England’s most consistent performers, Cole has proven himself to be up there with the very best over the last few years.

5. Kyle Sinckler - England

One of the discoveries of this year's Lions tour. Started the year as a fringe squad member for England but forced his way onto the Test bench due to his superb carrying ability. One of the real characters in rugby right now.

6. WP Nel - Scotland

Scotland moved quickly to cap South African born tighthead WP Nel as soon as he qualified to wear the thistle, and the former Cheetah has repaid them with a string of impressive performances.

The 29-year-old has established himself as their premier tighthead and was favourite to tour with the Lions before suffering injury.
