"Worth a gamble" - Three youngsters Eddie Jones has tipped to star in 2022

England finished in a disappointing 5th place in the Six Nations, winning two of their five games against Italy and France.

And even though the World Cup is still more than two years away, Jones says his focus has already turned towards it.

Below are three players the Aussie has tipped to play a key role for England heading into the 2022 Six Nations.

Jones said: “He’s got all the attributes to be a very good 10 at Test level, but now it’s about whether he can develop his game, keep working hard and keep his feet on the ground.

“He’s got a very good attitude and great desire to keep working. If he doesn’t believe everything that’s written about him he’ll be alright.

“He’s coachable. He’s got good fundamental skills – he can catch square, pass accurately, he’s got a reasonable kicking game and his goal-kicking as we saw today is first class.”

Radwan scored seven tries in 11 games during the 2020-21 Premiership season, earning a call-up for England's 2021 summer internationals. Taking his opportunity with both hands he scored a hat-trick on his England debut against Canada in July 2021, earning the fans' man of the match in the process.

JONES SAID: “He is quick, lightning quick. Sometimes we can’t see him at training he is that quick.

"I remember watching him about six games ago and he caught my eye and then I went up to Newcastle for the second last round (against Worcester) and watched the players live and he scored an extraordinary try in the corner so I thought he is worth a gamble. 

"We rolled the dice, brought him into camp and every week he has grown. He is a hard worker, a hard trainer, wants to learn."

Jone said: “We haven’t seen the best of Alex yet.

“We might not for another couple of years but if he keeps that desire to want to keep improving, take the hard knocks and learn from it there is no limit on where he can go as a player because he’s got some special skills.

“He has real doggedness, his want is good and so is his ability to cope with disappointment.

“Because he got left out of the World Cup squad, he was down to the last 36, 37 and he had to learn with that disappointment."
