The Mail has reported that the Premiership side has launched a bid to sign Wales captain Alun-Wyn Jones at the end of the season.
The Lions lock will be a free agent when his National Dual Contract with the Ospreys expires in the summer.
The WRU want to keep the 32-year-old in Wales and the forward is currently considering a new contract offer from the region.
